Evenflo is offering a free safety upgrade kit to owners of Evenflo Cozy Carry
Infant Car Seats. Although the car seats meet or exceed all federal safety
standards, recent crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lead Evenflo to believe that the performance of the detachable automobile base in certain types of collisions may be improved with this free
upgrade.
This kit is for Cozy Carry detachable automobile bases only. The bases have
the words “Cozy Carry” on them. These bases may have been sold individually,
together with a Cozy Carry car seat, or in a travel system (with a car seat and
matching stroller).
The Cozy Carry was sold under the model numbers beginning with the following
digits:
272,273,468,469,476,477,478,480,481,845,639
The model number may be found on a white label on the bottom of the car seat
or the bottom of the detachable base. Only Cozy Carry infant car seats are part
of this upgrade program. No other Evenflo Car Seats are affected by this upgrade
Program.
