Evenflo will shortly announce a safety upgrade campaign
on Triumph children's car seats. Only Triumph car seats
manufactured between October 20, 2001 and January 31,
2002 are affected. these products are easily identifiable
by examining the shipping packaging. if the Triumph car
seat does not have a 4-inch round sticker stating "Evenflo
Quality Checked" on the box, the product may be affected.
if the sticker appears on the box, after january 31, 2002
and is not affected. if there is no sticker, please check
the date of manufacture of the product (which is located
on a white sticker on the lower, backside of the car seat).
If the product was manufactured either before October
20, 2001 or after January 31, 2002 it is not affected
and you may continue to sell it.
Evenflo has discovered that two components of the harness
system manufactured by Evenflo supplier, May not meet
performance specifications. Defective components could
prevent the child from being properly restrained in the
event of a collision event.
Evenflo will provide consumers who have already purchased
affected products a free safety upgrade kit. The kit ensures
the harness system meets performance specifications. For
the safety upgrade campaign, Evenflo has established a
consumer hot line that consumers can use to obtain their
upgrade kits.
