Regal Lager, in cooperation with Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), will be voluntarily recalling to repair approximately 49,000 Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier Actives. We have had several complaints of the lumbar support buckle detaching from the webbing on the shoulder straps. If this happens a strap may come off the wearer's shoulder. We have no reports of injury due to this issue, but are taking this action as a proactive measure. Styles recalled are 1-26063, 1-26064
THIS RECALL DOES NOT AFFECT THE BABY BJORN BABY CARRIER ORIGINAL. Baby Bjorn has developed a new improved lumbar support buckle that is put together with four screws to address this issue. Consumers that have purchased the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier Active will be asked to call a special toll free number* 877-962-8400 * to get instructions on where and how to send back their carrier straps to Regal Lager for repair.
