Starting late in 1997 Cosco was made
aware of some instances where their tandem stroller folded prematurely
under extreme conditions. Although there have been no serious injuries
associated with this problem, Cosco immediately strengthened the latching
mechanism and effective with any production after February 16, 1998,
the problem has been totaly corrected. At the same time Cosco started
working with the CPSC on a "Field Fix" for those units manufactured
prior to Feb. 16th 1998.
Shortly, a public announcement will be made by the CPSC and Cosco
instructing anyone with a tandem stroller manufactured prior to Feb.
16, 1998, to contact Cosco for the "Field Fix" which is the simple insertion
of 2 pins to eliminate the possibility of the folding during extreme

before February 16, 1998.
