|
Burlington Coat Factory and The Scheer Advertising Group, won big at the 35th Annual Jersey Awards, held May 20 at Mayfair Farms, West Orange, New Jersey. "Lots more winter", took the 1st place award for a single television spot with a production budget under $30,000. The company's fall 2002 television commercial campaign also took home a win in the Corporate Television Campaign category. The 35th Annual Jersey Awards, sponsored by the New Jersey Advertising Club, offers awards in 109 categories. Eligible media include: newspaper and magazine advertising, radio and television commercials, collateral and direct marketing, and interactive media. The panel of judges includes members of the Philadelphia and Long Island Advertising Clubs. Burlington Coat Factory's advertising efforts are the result of an evolving partnership between H. Robert Greenbaum, the company's Creative Director, and their top management. "I am an advocate of the "Wow Factor" in advertising. That is, simply, leaving the viewer with the expression of 'wow' after they experience your ad," says Greenbaum. "That engagement for the viewer is what remains with them when they decide to make a purchase, and that translates into sales." That increasing ability to engage the viewer has earned Burlington Coat Factory additional recognition for their ads this year, including top brand recall stores as determined by the Intermedia Advertising Group (IAG), and the "Week's Most Remembered Spot" according to Ad Age Magazine. The Scheer Advertising Group, based in South Orange, NJ, has served clients in all sectors for over 65 years. H. Robert Greenbaum, Vice President and Director of Communications, joined Burlington Coat Factory in 2002. Burlington Coat Factory is one of the nation's largest off-price retailers of first quality apparel, shoes and accessories for the entire family, linens and home décor, and baby clothing and merchandise. Burlington Coat Factory and its subsidiaries operate over 320 stores in 42 states. |
