The National Business and Disability Council, in conjunction with the National Center for Disability Services, has named Anne Rindfleisch as Employee of the Year for 2002 / 2003. The Council's annual Awards of Honor recognize those individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to enhancing the partnership between the disabled and their employers. Anne has been the Computer Room Operator for Burlington Coat Factory’s Brown Deer, Wisconsin store for nearly six years.

Anne Rindfleisch has a congenital disorder called Full Amelia, which means that she was born without arms or legs. She travels via motorized wheelchair, operated by shoulder controls. Anne volunteered for six years at a local Wisconsin hospital after earning her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After working as a volunteer, Anne received computer training at the Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin office. Upon graduation from the program, she joined Burlington Coat Factory.

The award, issued annually since 1963, honors a single graduate of Goodwill Industries International’s numerous employment training programs. President George Bush congratulated Anne on her achievement when she visited him in the nation's capital.

Burlington Coat Factory spokesperson, Stacey Kelleher, Says about the Anne, "She is simply a great employee. Stacey adds, " We are excited that she has again been recognized by such a worthwhile organization."
