BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY OFFERS DONATION TO KIWANIS "911 CHILDREN'S FUND" TO AID THE CHILDREN OF THE VICTIMS OF SEPTEMBER 11.

On November 27, 2001 representatives of Burlington Coat Factory presented a donation on behalf of Burlington Coat Factory, to the Burlington County chapter of the Kiwanis International Club. The "911 Children's Fund" was established after September 11, to directly aid the children of the victims of the tragic events that took place on that day.

Burlington Coat Factory's 23,000 employees were encouraged to contribute to a company-wide fund that would be directly matched with a corporate donation. The total of the final contribution was $87,515.

Stephen L. Gandley, Governor of the NJ District of the Kiwanis International Club, accepted the donation along with the President of the local Kiwanis chapter, Richard L. Clawges.

All of the employees of Burlington Coat Factory were deeply saddened buy the events of September 11, and were glad to contribute this donation to the relief efforts. We acknowledge the good work of the local Kiwanis club and their efforts internationally.
