BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY ANNOUNCES DISCOUNT OFFER TO COINCIDE WITH TAX RELIEF REBATE

Burlington, NJ – Today Burlington Coat Factory announced that it will offer $10 off any purchase totaling $50 or more for customers who choose to cash their tax relief rebate checks in any of the company’s stores nationwide. As part of the recently instituted national tax relief plan, approximately 92 million rebate checks will be mailed out over a ten-week period ending in late September.

Rebate checks will only be cashed in conjunction with a purchase at Burlington Coat Factory. The tax rebate discount can not be combined with any other coupon or offer and is not applicable on layaways. The offer is valid through October 31, 2001.
