POSITION: Price Systems Administrator
DESCRIPTION:Management position with ongoing ownership for Price and Markdown Optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Key Contact with Oracle (Profit Logic):
    • Ongoing analyst and liaison with Oracle regarding new user requirements to support changes in business - review with Oracle any forecasting or metrics questions - ongoing testing of system fixes and/or changes - ongoing work with re: success measurement for PRICE.
    • Communicating changes (such as Price Ladders, Eligibility Calendars, etc.) to Oracle.
    • Working with Profit Logic to define Spring 06 Sell Through (ST%) targets and Exit Date parameters (at Merch Div level and for exceptions).
  2. Business Rule Manager (BRM) - Business Rule Manager (BRM) adjustments and changes to support changes in Business.
    • Adding new user IDs and set up of roles
    • Business Rule Manager maintenance (initial No Touch, Min/Max MD%, Salvage Value, etc.)
    • Ensuring Exit Date and Sell Through Target Business Rules updated prior to start of each season (ongoing)
  3. Infoman-type support for Merchants
    • Data analysis and resolution of users questions
      • Wrong prices
      • Stores in wrong zone
      • Validation of new stores in zones
      • Missing classes
      • Re-alignment of classes
    • Enhancements and/or changes to reports (comparisons between systems)
    • Merchandise Hierarchy enhancements (new divisions) and updates
  4. Liaison with MIS for the application
    • Change Management support
    • Testing changes in data feeds
    • Review any impact of MIS equipment or new application installation on PRICE
  5. Merchant Support
    • Buyer coaching and training of new buyers
    • Buyer support for system questions  (i.e. PRICE should display X and is not displaying this)
    • Management support for approval process (i.e. working with Andy, Ilyse, Nancy, MaryRose and Stephen on issues esp. with new divisions)
    • Coaching new VPs on PRICE
    • Ongoing ownership of best practice processes in Merchandising
  6. Data Capture and Measurement
    • Defining Measurement Requirements and capturing the data (in PRICE and BCF systems)
    • Analyzing and summarizing buyer compliance for executive teams
    • Capturing other data required for testing, comparison, etc. on weekly basis, as required
  7. OTHER
    • Key role in BCF Project team for expansion of PRICE to additional business areas
POSITION: Mid-Level Programmer Analyst (Merchandising)

DESCRIPTION: Burlington Coat Factory is looking for a highly motivated individual who will use their technical experience and creativity to provide software applications for our corporate user community. This person will report to the Manager of Merchandise Applications Development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:Work with the user community to create new applications and maintain existing applications using Oracle tool sets in order meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have proficient coding skills and at least 3 years of experience in Oracle Sql*Plus and PL/SQL and Oracle Tool sets, including Oracle Forms and Reports using the 6i development suite. Knowledge of Unix, C, C++, and Unix/Linux , Perl, J-developer, Java, HTML is a plus. Candidates must have module level design skills, problem solving skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
POSITION:Mid-Level Quality Assurance Developer

DESCRIPTION:Be part of the IT innovation at one of South Jersey's most progressive Oracle installations. The Software Quality Assurance group has a position for a software quality assurance developer with 1-3 years of experience in the field of software testing or automated software testing.

QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Technical requirements include experience with SQL or Oracle SQL*Plus, experience with an RDBMS (Oracle preferred). Proficiency with Unix and at least one procedural language (PERL, C, Java, PL/SQL) are also required. At least one year of experience with an automated testing tool (Mercury Winrunner experience preferred) is a plus. Experience with load testing tools and profiling tools (Insure++ preferred) are a plus. Experience with testing Oracle reports and forms is also a plus.
POSITION: Junior Systems Performance Analyst, 2nd Shift

DESCRIPTION: Our Systems Monitoring and Command Center department has an immediate opening for an entry level Systems Performance Analyst. This is a four-day, 40 hour a week, second shift position (Sunday to Wednesday starting at Noon).

Job responsibilities include monitoring and control of machines, applications, backup processes, and manual execution of applications at scheduled times. Duties also include detailed logging of automated and manual job output.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is stressed
  • Maintenance of daily and hourly log reports.
  • Good diagnostic and problem solving skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Experience in computer operations:
    • Unix
    • TCP/IP
    • Oracle
    • Solaris
    • Linux, is beneficial, but not required.

POSITION:Manager of Financial Application Development

DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will lead a multi-person technical team charged with developing and maintaining application systems to serve a company with over $3 billion in sales last year. The scope of this position includes working with, but is not limited to, Oracle applications: financials and human resources. (release 10.7, 11.03 and 11i)
Duties of the successful candidate include:
  • Designing systems and writing technical specifications to satisfy the needs of internal customers.
  • Developing and executing resource utilization plans.
  • Forging and enhancing relations between vendors and the organization.
  • Creating and administering policies for the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicants should have at least three (3) years of development experience with the following:
    • Oracle (versions 8, 8i and 9i)
    • Oracle Tool Sets (Developer 2000 and 6i)
  • At least three years experience managing moderately sized teams of technical professionals.
  • Ability to creatively manage multiple, high-profile projects and the people who work on these projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required as the manager interacts with individuals throughout the corporate hierarchy.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with direct technical experience with Oracle applications, the Unix/Linux operating system and retail financial systems.
POSITION: Mid-Level Database Administrator

DESCRIPTION: The Burlington Coat Factory MIS department is seeking a mid-level database administrator. The candidate will participate in tasks associated with the administration and maintenance of Oracle RDBMS and application servers. In addition, the candidate will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases as well as, research recommend, and implement technical enhancements, which have significant impact on the entire organization.

REQUIREMENTS:The candidate must possess the following:
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and manage activities
  • Good problem solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities
  • Ability to coordinate/work with developers

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in Oracle RDBMS in a Unix environment
  • Technical knowledge of Oracle RDBMS versions 8i and 9i
  • Knowledge of Oracle 9i is a plus
  • Knowledge of Oracle applications is a plus
  • Installation/configuration of Oracle 9i is a plus
