POSITION: Price Systems Administrator
DESCRIPTION:Management position with ongoing ownership for Price and Markdown Optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Key Contact with Oracle (Profit Logic):
- Ongoing analyst and liaison with Oracle regarding new user requirements to support changes in business - review with Oracle any forecasting or metrics questions -
ongoing testing of system fixes and/or changes - ongoing work with re: success measurement for PRICE.
- Communicating changes (such as Price Ladders, Eligibility Calendars, etc.) to Oracle.
- Working with Profit Logic to define Spring 06 Sell Through (ST%) targets and Exit Date parameters (at Merch Div level and for exceptions).
- Business Rule Manager (BRM) - Business Rule Manager (BRM) adjustments and changes to support changes in Business.
- Adding new user IDs and set up of roles
- Business Rule Manager maintenance (initial No Touch, Min/Max MD%, Salvage Value, etc.)
- Ensuring Exit Date and Sell Through Target Business Rules updated prior to start of each season (ongoing)
- Infoman-type support for Merchants
- Data analysis and resolution of users questions
- Wrong prices
- Stores in wrong zone
- Validation of new stores in zones
- Missing classes
- Re-alignment of classes
- Enhancements and/or changes to reports (comparisons between systems)
- Merchandise Hierarchy enhancements (new divisions) and updates
- Liaison with MIS for the application
- Change Management support
- Testing changes in data feeds
- Review any impact of MIS equipment or new application installation on PRICE
- Merchant Support
- Buyer coaching and training of new buyers
- Buyer support for system questions (i.e. PRICE should display X and is not displaying this)
- Management support for approval process (i.e. working with Andy, Ilyse, Nancy, MaryRose and Stephen on issues esp. with new divisions)
- Coaching new VPs on PRICE
- Ongoing ownership of best practice processes in Merchandising
- Data Capture and Measurement
- Defining Measurement Requirements and capturing the data (in PRICE and BCF systems)
- Analyzing and summarizing buyer compliance for executive teams
- Capturing other data required for testing, comparison, etc. on weekly basis, as required
- OTHER
- Key role in BCF Project team for expansion of PRICE to additional business areas

POSITION: Merchandise Planner - Burlington, NJ
DESCRIPTION: In this position you will perform the following tasks:
Partner with Buyer/Merchandise Manager to develop, implement and manage Class and Subclass unit and
Dollar Plans. Provide historical Class and Subclass performance perspective, LY and LLY. Offer
recommendations regarding sales performance, flow, promotional and markdown cadence, turn and
gross profit.
Establish Sales, BOM targets, and Seasonal Turn goals with merchants. Develop
the initial Purchase Plan: Monthly Unit and Dollar flow. Manage the in-season forecast process:
provide performance analysis versus plan LY and LLY. Identify opportunities and liabilities and
recommend the appropriate action to optimize. You will insure that the sales goals, inventory flow,
promotional and key items, etc. are realistic and communicated through all levels of the company:
Buying, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Distribution Center, and Store Operations.
Development of Store Plans: Convert Class and Subclass Dollar Plans into Unit Plans using the NSB
(MMS/STS) System. You will develop monthly unit sales plans for each Store Rank. Establish
"Average Store" unit quantity for each BOM in each class and subclass as well as establish Monthly
BOM unit inventories by Store Rank.
Supervision of the allocation process includes ensuring
that unit receipts are allocated to need (open to ship). Performing in-season monthly review of
store selling versus plan and LY. Review and evaluate inventory levels by Store Rank. Establish
"Hot" and "Cold" store lists for allocators to address. Provide leadership and direction to the
allocators. Establish turn goals and inventory caps for "Space-Challenged Stores" with high level
sales volumes. Suggest assortment edits based upon performance metrics. Provide direction to
allocation regarding new and remodel stores.
QUALIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate will have a four year college degree,
along with a minimum of two years experience as a merchandise planner and demonstrated ability to
manage the classification and store planning process while supervising and providing direction to
allocation. Experience with either NSB (STS/MMS), JDA, or RETEK planning and allocation applications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel also required. |

POSITION: Merchandise Allocator Trainee
DESCRIPTION: In this position you will make decisions daily that will influence
everyday sales in our stores nationwide. Individuals in these positions will analyze sales trends, anticipate
customer-buying patterns, and develop distribution strategies that will be applied to multi-product classifications.
You will make crucial distribution decisions and act as the liaison between the distribution center and the buyers.
This individual will apply and develop analytical, strategic, and creative problem solving skills. In this position,
you will analyze market trends and conditions, store inventory levels, product content and each store’s demographic
requirements in order to make sound allocations that will allow strategic planning for the assortment of merchandise in all
store locations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Those applying for this position should possess strong communication and
organizational skills as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Applicants must be results oriented, entrepreneurial minded, and have the ability to learn difficult concepts quickly,
while offering creative solutions to problem solving. Being detail oriented with computer knowledge is a must. Retail
background and/or college degree preferred. |

POSITION: Merchandise Report Analyst
DESCRIPTION: Reports to and follows direction from Merchandise Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute, import and populate weekly/monthly/yearly key reports
- Update and maintain key Excel templates and Macros
- Assist in developing spreadsheets in Excel applications that can serve as development platforms for IT
- Assist in specifying fields and calculations for ad hoc reports
- Execute and schedule reports
- Establish and maintain report archives
- Become familiar with BCF systems such as Oracle, OE2, MMS, & Finance Stock Ledger
- Become familiar with BCF merchandise divisions and division designated silos
- Support divisional planners with global financial information
- Assist in developing an archiving process to reconcile data for newly developed reports
- Assist in developing data maps for newly created reports
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a good understanding of how to flow, organize and format data
- Strong Microsoft Excel and VBA skills
- Understand basic retail calculations
