Where can coat donations be dropped off?
Coats can be dropped off at any Burlington Coat Factory Store.
When are you accepting coat donations?
We are accepting donations between November 1, 2009 and January 15, 2010.
What qualifies a coat as "gently worn"?
Coats must have working closures, and no rips or stains.
Do coats have to be dry-cleaned before they are donated?
No. Coats don't have to be dry-cleaned but they do need to be clean and free of dirt or stains.
Do you accept other donations?
Yes. Hats, mittens, gloves and scarves will also be accepted. Anything that can help someone stay warm this winter season will be accepted at any Burlington store.
Where can I go to make a donation?
You can donate gently worn coats to any Burlington Coat Factory store until Jan. 15, 2010.

How are the coats distributed?
One Warm Coat has identified local charitable organizations from coast to coast that are picking up and distributing the donated coats to those in need. Each Burlington Coat Factory location has been assigned local charitable organizations to be the recipients of donated coats.
Why do you give the coats to a charity instead of individuals in need?
One Warm Coat is experienced in facilitating coat drives around the country. The goal of the Warm Coats + Warm Hearts Drive is to make sure people in need in various communities around the country benefit from this coat drive, and the local charities and organizations One Warm Coat is affiliated with are our best resources to making sure donated coats reach the people who need them most this holiday season.
Can an organization/agency refer names of people who are in need of donated coats?
Organizations and agencies can contact One Warm Coat directly at info@onewarmcoat.org and they will assist you with requests.
Are you waiting until the end of the drive to distribute the donated coats?
No. Donated coats will be picked up by local organizations throughout the coat drive. As it gets colder this holiday season, it's very important that the coats donated to the Warm Coats + Warm Hearts Drive reach the people who need them as quickly as possible.
How do I get my 10% off coupon?
Bring any coat to the Customer Service desk at any Burlington Coat Factory store by December 24, 2009. Any customer service representative will accept the coat donation and issue a 10% off entire purchase coupon.
