The Good Morning America Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive in which
"Good Morning America" joined forces with Burlington Coat Factory and
the non-profit organization, One Warm Coat. The coat drive launched
live on "Good Morning America" Thursday, December 6, and will last
throughout the month of January.

Frequently Asked Questions
What qualifies a coat as "gently worn"?
Coats must have working closures, and no rips or stains.
Do coats have to be dry-cleaned before they are donated?
No. Coats do not have to be dry-cleaned but they do need to be clean and free of dirt and stains.
Do you accept other donations?
Yes. Hats, mittens, gloves and scarves will also be accepted. Basically, anything that can help
someone stay warm this winter season will be accepted at any Burlington Coat Factory store.

Where can I go to make a donation?
You can donate gently worn coats to any Burlington Coat Factory store until Jan. 16.

How are the coats distributed?
One Warm Coat has identified more than 200 local service organizations from coast to coast that are picking up and distributing the donated coats. Each Burlington Coat Factory location has been assigned a local charitable organization and is posted in each store.
Why do you give the coats to a charity instead of individuals in need?
One Warm Coat is experienced in facilitating coat drives around
the country. The goal of The Good Morning America Warm Coat Warm
Hearts Drive is to make sure people in need in various communities
around the country benefit from this coat drive, and the local
charities and organizations One Warm Coat is affiliated with are our
best resources to making sure donated coats reach the people who need
them most this holiday season.
Can an organization/individuals refer names of people who are in need of donated coats?

and they will assist you with your request.
Are you waiting until the end of the drive to distribute the donated coats?
No. Donated coats will be picked up by local organizations throughout the coat drive. As it gets colder and colder this holiday season, it's
very important that the coats donated to The Good Morning America Warm Coats and Warm Heart Drive reach the people who need them as
quickly as possible.
