In-store Return Policy*
- An original receipt dated within 30 days is required for all returns/exchanges
- Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment
- Debit cards using a pin will receive cash
- Returns from a check purchase will be sent a mail check within 7 days.
- Merchandise returned from a completed layaway and receipted returns accepted after 30 days will receive a gift card
- Merchandise must be in new, unused condition
- Non-receipted returns, accompanied by a photo ID (driver's license, state-issued non-driver ID, passport, or military ID) and returns after 60 days will receive a gift card for the lowest selling price
- All returns are subject to system verification and/or approval

Layaway Policy*
- 60 day layaway, 90 day Baby Depot (See store for details)
- 20% deposit, additional payment of 20% due within 14 days. Final payment due on pickup
- $5.00 (plus tax where applicable) non-refundable service fee
- $10.00 (plus tax where applicable) cancellation fee upon any change to layaway or if layaway is returned to stock
- Merchandise returned from a completed layaway will receive a gift card
- Refunds of layaway deposits and payments will receive a gift card

Check Acceptance Policy
- For exact amount of purchase
- Personal check must be imprinted with your name, address and U.S. bank name
- A valid photo identification (driver's license, state-issued non-driver ID, US passport, or military ID) is required
- We cannot accept starter checks, payroll checks, third party checks, or business checks
- Returned check service fee: $25 or maximum allowed by state
Gift Card Policy*
Use of any Burlington Coat Factory Gift Card constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
- When activated, a gift card may be used up to its remaining balance to redeem merchandise and services sold at Burlington Coat Factory and Baby Depot stores.
- A gift card is not redeemable for cash unless required by law, and is not valid if altered or illegible.
- Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced unless required by law. Protect the card as you would cash.
- A gift card is not a credit or debit card, has no implied warranties, and cannot be used for payment of any credit account.
- We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.

Tailoring Services
Tailoring services are offered at many Burlington Coat Factory locations. All merchandise must be purchased prior to alterations. Please contact your local store manager for specific details.
Baby Registry
- We offer a baby registry in all our Baby Depot locations as well as online.
- You may view and print your registry either online or in a store.
- Registries created online can be modified online or in a store.
- Registries created in a store can be modified online or in one of our Baby Depot locations.
- Many items listed on a registry may be purchased online. These items will have a "Buy" button to the right of the items.
- Some items can be purchased in store only. These items can be modified only from a store location.
- In store registry changes may take up to 24 hours to appear online. Online registry changes take effect immediately.
