In-store Exchange Full Refund Policy*
We will gladly provide a refund, credit, or exchange for merchandise returned within THIRTY (30) DAYS of purchase with tags attached, in original packaging and accompanied by the original sales receipt.
- Charge card purchases will be credited to the card used in the original transaction.
- Debit cards using a pin number will be refunded cash.
- If the purchase was made by a personal check, a check refund will be mailed to you after fourteen days from receipt of the returned merchandise.
- Merchandise that has been altered, damaged or worn cannot be exchanged or returned.
- Gift cards can be redeemed for merchandise only and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. For the following states, click state:
- Layaway deposits and payments are non-refundable, but may be converted to a gift card if layaway is canceled or returned.
If merchandise is returned without a receipt and/or if tags are not attached, a gift card (redeemable for merchandise only) will be issued for the lowest selling price. A Government ID must be provided (Driver's license, state-issued non-driver ID, passport, military ID).
All returns are subject to review and approval by management.

Layaway Policy*
- 30 day layaway. (90 day layaway for Baby Depot merchandise. See store for details.)
- 25% deposit at purchase.
- 25% payment due within 14 days.
- Final payment due on pick-up.
- $5.00 service charge (non-refundable, plus sales tax where applicable).
- $5.00 cancellation fee due upon any change to layaway (plus sales tax where applicable).
- Unfortunately cash refunds are not offered on layaway purchases.

Check Acceptance Policy
- Written for the exact amount of purchase.
- Imprinted with your name, address, and bank name; and you provide a photo identification (driver's license, state-issued non-driver ID, passport, military ID).
- Returned check service fee: $25.00 or maximum allowed by state (whichever is greater).
- We do not accept starter checks, payroll checks, third party checks, business checks, foreign checks, or altered checks.
Gift Card Policy*
Use of any Burlington Coat Factory Gift Card constitutes acceptance of the following terms:
- When activated, a gift card may be used up to its remaining balance to redeem merchandise and services sold at Burlington Coat Factory, Luxury Linens, and Baby Depot stores within the United States.
- A gift card is not redeemable for cash and is not valid if altered or illegible.
- Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced. Protect the card as you would cash. For the following states, click state:
- A gift card is not a credit or debit card, has no implied warranties, and cannot be used for payment of any credit or loan account.
- Except where prohibited by law, after 12 months of non-use, a monthly maintenance fee of $3 will be deducted from the available balance until the balance is reduced to $0 or the card is used again. For the following states, click state:
- Activity includes purchases (or balance inquiries when applicable by state).
- We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.

Tailoring Services
Tailoring services are offered at many Burlington Coat Factory locations. All merchandise must be purchased prior to alterations. Please contact your local store manager for specific details.
Baby Registry
- We offer a baby registry in all our Baby Depot locations as well as online.
- You may view and print your registry either online or in a store.
- Registries created online can be modified online or in a store.
- Registries created in a store can be modified online or in one of our Baby Depot locations.
- Many items listed on a registry may be purchased online. These items will have a "Buy" button to the right of the items.
- Some items can be purchased in store only. These items can be modified only from a store location.
- In store registry changes may take up to 24 hours to appear online. Online registry changes take effect immediately.
